Wedding Shoes Types

Many brides-to-be like to choose one specific pair of shoes that catch their eyes, but they might not seem so appealing after hours standing in a church and some brides may suffer from pain. All of these result from the uncomforting of the shoes, so we can see how vital a right pair of wedding shoes are. Before to get married, know the types of shoes is a must.

Flats - There are some gorgeous flat shoes designed specifically for weddings now so you should look into the possibility of buying them because they do tend to be the most comfortable

Stilettos - If you are one of those few women that always wear stilettos and feel comfortable in them then go for it; but if you are not then you may want to consider either buying them months in advance to wear and adapt them

Court Shoes - Court shoes tend to be comfortable because they enclose the foot and yet look classy as well. They often need some wearing in but are suitable and comfortable for wearing all day.

Sandals - This encompasses a wide range and several types of wedding shoes. They tend to be pretty, decorative and affordable but may not be comfortable, depending on the straps and the height of the heel. As such, you should try them out for a few steps when weighing up whether you could wear them all day or not.

Before Yor Get Married

Prepare six months or more ahead to prepare your wedding, and have a facial once a month to ensure radiant complexions.

Adopt a healthy eating and regular exercise regime. Also, remember to drink lots of water and herbal teas.

If you are spray tanning for your wedding, trial the product or professional service first to be certain you are going to like the end result. A bad spray tan can look tragic, whereas a good one looks fabulous.

Do not neglect your hands and feet. Frequent manicures and pedicures are a must. Clean your engagement ring and any other jewelry you will be wearing.

Check your wedding gown fits perfectly prior to it leaving the store. Ensure all beading is sewn on securely, zips work and, if needs be, somewhere for you to hang your train so you are free to dance the night away.

If you are wearing a strapless gown, take your bra off at least three hours before the photographer's arrival on your wedding day. Bra strap marks stay embedded in the skin for a long time and look unsightly in photographs.

Delegate a trouble-shooter with good people and organizational skills to oversee and deal with any unexpected hitches on the day (touch wood). You do not need the added stress.

Confirm flowers, hair and make-up artists at least a month before your big day.

While getting ready do not forget to eat. Pack straws and organize bite-size portions of food to be available so eating and drinking will not spoil your make-up.

Best Gifts for His Men

1. Buy something you wish you had but never own. Such as a velvet smoking jacket or a hand-carved pipe. But remember that don’t buy something too outrageous or they will never use it.

2. Go for guy things. A silver or leather flask is an all-time groomsman gifts: classic yet practical.

3. Avoid gifts that are excessively flamboyant, ridiculously cheap or something boring.

4. The best way to ensure your gift has that personal touch is to add a monogram. A well-placed set of initials can spice up even the most ordinary wallet, cigar case or cuff link.

5. If you’ve got a groomsman whose idea of fun involves training for that next triathlon, perhaps a mini membership to a gym or a few hours with a personal trainer would suit him. And of course, a ticket to a sporting event is usually a hit.

Wedding Day Nail Color

Here comes the top five nail polish colors this season -- all of which would be perfect options for your most important day. And even if you do wimp out and go for the safe pink shade, you could still try one of these for your honeymoon.

Denim Blue
This is the perfect "something blue" for an offbeat bride, says Stephenson. Wearing a blue hue on your nails is definitely bold, so if you'd rather stick with a more subtle color for your fingers, try it on your toes.

Greenish Gold
If you're always wearing the latest trends, your wedding day should be no exception. Metallic polish in shades like green and gold is uber trendy this season, so naturally, a bride with high style will want to wear it.

Soft Lavender
Light lilac tips are a modern alternative to pale pink, says Stephenson. This is a great option for girls who want to break the rules, but only a little bit. It's feminine and subtle yet with a twist.

Retro Red
Classic crimson is ideal for brides drawn to all things vintage. Sexy and sophisticated, red nail polish is the must-have accessory for an Old Hollywood-inspired style.

Candy Pink
Nothing is flirtier than bubblegum pink nails. A pop of this girly hue adds color to your look in a pretty way that's not cheesy.

The Symbolism Meaning of Peonies

With a recorded history that dates back thousands of years, it’s not surprising that even the mythology surrounding the origin of the peony has multiple versions. One legend has it that the peony is named after Paeon, a physician to the gods, who received the flower on Mount Olympus from the mother of Apollo. And another tells the story of that same physician who was “saved” from the fate of dying as other mortals by being turned into the flower we know today as the peony.

The traditional floral symbol of China, the state flower of Indiana, and the 12th wedding anniversary flower, peonies are known as the flowers of riches and honor. With their lush, full, rounded bloom, peonies embody romance and prosperity and are regarded as an omen of good fortune and a happy marriage.
