Lingerie by Wedding Dress Silhouette

Wedding dresses have a certain amount of silhouettes, each has its own uniqueness. So a right type of underwear is necessary. Not only does it shapes the wedding dress, but also makes you feel comfort and give you enough support throughout the day. So choose wedding lingerie by your dress silhouette.

Empire Styles Dresses
An empire line dress is tightly fitted around the bust and then flows from under the bustline. Try a balconette bra which will give you great uplift or a padded or push-up bra which will help boost your assets.

A-line and Full Skirted Dresses
Usually these two styles of wedding dresses aim to create a streamlined torso with a nipped in waistline, so look for body suits which will smooth any bulges and try a waist cincher to pull in your tummy and create a waist line, you could then show it off with the addition of a sash or belt to your dress.

Figure Hugging and Fitted Dresses
Styles such as mermaid are generally fitted through the torso, need underwear which will give you a smooth silhouette and a figure which your dress can glide over. Grab some magic knickers, they are perfect for slimming down your tummy and bottom. Another option is a firm control hip and waist slip, which will smooth your hips and bottom contour.

One Shoulder and Backless Dresses
The problem with these styles is that you still need underwear but don’t want everyone to be able to see it! Look for a magic bra will support your bust without any unsightly straps, so perfect for backless dresses.  For one shoulder dresses look for multiway bras which allow you to move straps into various combinations to suit the style of dress you are wearing.

Bridal Makeup Essential

Makeups and hairstyles are important parts in the whole planning procedure. No one would not like a delicate look. To capture a glowing look, brides always prepare months before. But the following tips will save brides more energy and lead to a more glamorous look.

1. Avoid using products that contain SPF
Products that contain SPF can photograph weird because of the zinc oxide found in many moisturizers and foundations. It causes that paled out face look that shows up in photographs, but not in person. So avoid products with SPF on your wedding day, but wear SPF on your honeymoon.

2. Go light on the shimmer
A highlight on cheekbones or brow bones is flattering, but too much shimmer doesn't photograph well. Try doing a complete run-through of your makeup before the wedding, and take pictures. If you see shiny or white streaks where you've applied a shimmer product, you know where to tone down.

3. Skip lip gloss
If you're wearing a veil that comes down over your face
It's a magnet for the fabric and will make the veil stick to your lips the second you put it on. The gloss and any lipstick you're wearing will transfer to the veil, making for a messy situation.

4. Don't stray too far from your usual look
I've had minimalist makeup girls request a red lip vintage look for their trials and had brides who normally wore a lot of eyeliner ask for a natural look, but they usually don't feel right when it's done. I'm all for playing around with makeup, but this isn't the day to do it. If you want to try a smokey eye for the first time, save it for your bachelorette party!

5. Bring oil blotting sheets with you
I always include these in my bridal touchup kits. It's a long day and most people get a little shine, but these papers keep it at bay. I prefer them to powder because powder tends to cake up after multiple applications.

6. Consider using false lashes
For weddings, I prefer flares to full strip lashes. Because you can put on as few or as many as you want, you're able to control how natural or dramatic your look is.

Its Color That Counts

Besides the bridal gown, there is another eye-catching on the wedding-stylish bridesmaid dresses. Nowadays, the choices of bridesmaid dresses are really too many, and each couple have their own understanding. But color is the element you could never avoid. Today, we are going to see each color in detail.

Yellow
Outgoing couples that are full of positive energy will prefer yellow. It is a color that is bright and optimistic, and confident for a happy future. Their wedding is usually energetic and filled with entertainment and music. This is often seen in spring weddings because it symbolizes a new beginning.

Red
Red is the representative of passion. Couples choose red have accepted danger as part of life, and embraces it in marriage. Their wedding will be untraditional- they make all their own rules and are not afraid to break them. This is the wedding everyone wants to be invited too.

Purple
Purple is a traditional choice as purple is a very romantic and feminine color. This couple considers their love to be precious and one that will withstand the test of time. They view each other as unique and extremely special, so purple bridesmaid dress shows that chivalry is not dead.

Green
Stable and hopeful, this is the understanding of green. Green is great for an outdoor wedding, as the outdoors denotes new beginnings and growth. Green stands for a future filled with balance and stability, and typically reveals a modern sensibility.

Blue
Blue represents loyalty, honesty, and faithfulness. For the calm and conservative couple, who bent on showing the world the genuinely simple love they share, blue is a wise choice. Blue also conveys importance and confidence.

Black
Black is for the resilient and creative couple who embraces their unknown and mysterious future. Black bridesmaid dresses convey elegance and sophistication, especially at a formal event like a wedding. However, the color holds conflicting connotations for the occasion, creating a sexy and unconventional play between love and intrigue.

Bridal Fitness Q&A

Look absolutely BEST on her wedding day is every bride’s dream. From hair and makeup to manicures and waxing, from bridal gowns to wedding shoes, every aspect needs to be perfect. To go the extra mine, the following are what you need to follow.

Q1. How can brides best tone their shoulders and arms to look gorgeous and fit in their strapless wedding gowns?
Answer: The best toning exercise for those lean, sexy arms are push-ups. Vary the placement of your hands on the ground to target the different parts of your arms. Try these variations of the basic push-up....hands out wide, hands by your shoulders, hands lower by your chest, hands together making a "heart" with your thumbs and pointer fingers. Start out doing as many as you can of each variation and work your way up to 15 of each.

Q2. How can brides best tone their back for those awesome "glance over my shoulder" photos?
Answer: The "breast-stroke" is a great back toning exercise you can do on your living room floor! Lay on the floor, stomach down. Stretch your arms out over your head. Arch your back up, lift your head and chest off the ground while doing the breast-stroke with your arms. Return to starting position and repeat. Do three sets of 20 reps.

Q3. What's the best way for brides to lose those last 10 pounds, 3 months before their wedding?
Answer:

  • Eat every 2-3 hours. This will keep your metabolism burning! Stock up your purse with some easy snacks.
  • No starches after 3pm. That means...no rice, pasta, potatoes, etc. for dinner. Eat your starches at breakfast and lunch. Load up on lean meats and veggies for dinner.
  • Drink Up! Hydrate. Divide your body weight by two and that's how many ounces you need to consume a day.
  • Cut down on the sweets. Try not to consume any processed sugar. Get your "sweet fix" from natural sugars.
  • Don't eat within 3-hours of your bedtime. Try to get at least 7 hours of sleep each night.

Q4. There are a lot of BUSY brides who don't have time to exercise daily. What alternatives can you recommend to keep "active" during a normal day?
Answer: Buy a pedometer and wear it from the time you wake up until you go to sleep each day. Your goal is 10,000 steps a day. Take the steps instead of the elevator. Park further away and walk through the parking lot. Find some stairs on your lunch break and run up and down for 5-10 minutes. Take a 30-minute walk after dinner.
